A Little Visit to New Orleans...

This past weekend we went to New Orleans to attend a little festival called Hogs for the Cause. The hogs they are talking about are pigs. The cause is pediatric brain cancer. This festival is the number one fund raiser that helps out families in this situation with grant money to help with expensive.  So we had great fun, saw good music and visited with an old friend while our money went to a worthy cause.

They cooked a pig anyway you could think of at this festival. Of course the ribs were great.
Ribs could be had with a side of pulled pork.

Or just as a main dish.

We met up with a long time friend of Cathy's, Nancy. Nancy is a New Orleans native now living across the causeway in Mandeville. Cathy and Nancy go back to a time before we were married and through the years we have met up for Mardi Gras Jazz Fest and the last time was in 2007 for some fishing on the lake when Nancy and kids visited us here in East Texas. It's been too long. Hope it's not so long next time.

Check back the next few days as I have a ton of live music pictures.
