Crusing Flatbottom....
We weren't sure how the flat bottom Morgan got from Roxane and Gary would perform on our recent duck outing. It's a pretty small boat compared to the pontoon we are used to fishing in and we loaded it down with big old boys, shotguns waders, coveralls and decoys.
Here's a picture of Morgan leaning into a hard turn. Hand held GPS has satellites clocking us at 21.4 miles per hour. I would imagine this little 25hp boat would be pretty fast of a warm summer day with one or two folks lightly clad in swimsuits on board.
That's pretty scary, not the speed, but the fact that some good old boys out duck hunting have the technology to call on satellites to check their speed. I can remember in the past when NASA would never return my calls. I guess they are not as busy since all that moon stuff is over and the shuttle thing has just about wound up.
And yeah, the old man can still stand up in a flat bottom without out falling out.
