Happy Birthday Don Miguel...

If you follow the family news I post here you know that my son in law Miguel's dad, who is also Miguel had a terrible stroke. Don Miguel has spent the last 7 or 8 months fighting this and recovering. He was very sick at first but today as we wish Miguel a happy birthday an end is in sight and although recovery and rehab will continue he should be home in early August. 

Here's a photo of Miguel, his daughter Crystal and wife Alejandra. It's from 2012 when Crystal was elected Cinco De Mayo Queen. 

Miguel has spent some time in TIRR in Houston one of the best rehab hospitals in Texas if not the world and is currently continuing rehab at another facility with treatments based on returning to the community. If fact Miguel is going to the beach with us in a couple of weeks. Somebody has to cook the carnitas. 

On this July 4th as you consider your blessings remember that the road to freedom and independence has many paths. Miguel is on that path. It's long. He will get there.
