We went to see a friend from church, Beverly graduate from Stephen F. Austin State University this morning. Quite a field of graduates. We kind of considered it a practice for when some of our kids start graduating from college.

Here's Beverly and husband Terry. Terry was put to sleep by the graduation speaker. I must admit it was the worst commencement speech I have every heard. It was by a professor of history at
SFA and I seriously believe he is completely out of touch with the world his students will face as they seek to begin their
careers.
It was a good time for Beverly though, congratulations to her and all the hard work she has put in.

Funny, I was just reading the 'official line' on Jackson's speeech. The Daily Sentinel used the word inspiring in its headline, but his concluding statement "Plant trees..." did seem a bit lame. Once again, the blogger gets it right!
